Kendrick Lamar made a surprise move during his Super Bowl 2025 Halftime performance by bringing out Serena Williams, Drake’s ex, to dance during his set. The Compton rapper closed the show with his diss track “Not Like Us,” aimed at Drake, but notably changed the lyrics, omitting the controversial word “pedophile.”

Lamar teased the crowd before performing, hinting at the ongoing feud with Drake and referencing the rapper’s recent lawsuit against his label. He also performed hits like “HUMBLE.” and “Squabble Up,” before the surprise guest appearance from SZA, who performed two songs.

Samuel L. Jackson, dressed as Uncle Sam, introduced Lamar and made multiple appearances throughout the performance. Lamar had previously hinted at incorporating storytelling into his Super Bowl show, showcasing his passion for weaving narratives through his music.
